It is with much regret that we have to announce the planned withdrawal of our free BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4 apps from the Windows Phone Store.

The withdrawal is in response to a request from the copyright holder who made us aware that we were not fully operating within their Terms of Business Use.

In order to minimise disruption for our users, we have agreed a transition period whereby users will be warned of the impending withdrawal on app start-up and are given the opportunity to transition to our newly rebranded Radio Lounge app (formally known as BBC Radio Player). Radio Lounge offers a free trial version with full access to the same stations available through the apps being withdrawn.

The apps will be removed from the Windows Phone Store on the 8th February 2013.
