We’ve been watching the steady progress of our latest BBC Radio application and we are pleased to see that it is now the top paid application within the UK Marketplace’s Music + Video category and 12th overall in all categories!
To cap it all off, the application was “featured” in the Marketplace yesterday bringing further prominence to new users. We also now appear in AppFlow by Gergely Orosz.

We released our first maintenance release for our Windows Phone 7.5 (AKA Mango) series of BBC Radio players. This update brings a few bug fixes and performance improvements which should particularily help those using the new BBC Radio Player and wishing to listen to the BBC World Service. Enjoy!

After many months of testing and tweaking, we can now finally unveil the fruits of our latest project: The BBC Radio Player. A standalone application that allows you to access all of the BBC’s radio channels direct from your Windows Phone.
The BBC Radio 1 Player continues its rise through the UK Marketplace rankings. As of today, it’s the 12th highest rated application for Windows Phone here and 2nd in the Music and Video category.

Whilst we have been hard at work on the Mango updates to the BBC Radio player series, we haven’t taken our eye off maintaining the existing apps available in the Marketplace today.
We thought it would be a good time to detail some of the stuff going on in our labs right now. We’re delighted with the success of the BBC Radio apps so far and we want to make your experience even better.
The BBC Radio 1 Player has been steadily working its way up the Zune Top 100 Most Downloaded Apps in recent weeks. Today it sits at #33, a 10 place jump from the same time last week. Thanks to all who have downloaded it and left such positive reviews!

BBC Radio 1, 2 and 3 Players were successfully accepted into the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace earlier today following the successful acceptance of the BBC Radio 4 Player yesterday.
